droid incredible 2 or droid 3?

Hi. i am choosing between the droid incredible 2 and the droid 3, but im not exactly sure which one to choose. i am leaning towards the incredible 2, but the only thing stopping me is the fact that it is not dual core. this worries me that its just not going to be a fast phone. and also, i really dont care about the keyboard on the droid 3, i wouldnt even use it. Which phone would be a better option? thanks.

I guess the Droid 3 has better specs in most ways. Higher resolution screen, dual core, but less RAM. I strongly considered the Droid 3, but settled on the Inc2 after about 2 weeks of playing with them and comparing. I don't play any graphics intensive games, so the dual core would do little for me. I actually discovered that I liked some of the aspects of Sense and little about Blur. I nearly always used my physical keyboard on my Droid, but that wasn't enough to get me to buy the Droid 3. Both phones have a crapload of bloatware, so pretty much a tossup. In addition, the Inc2 was free at BB and the Droid 3 would have been $170 at Verizon with my $30 NE2. I couldn't use places like WireFly because I had to transfer an upgrade. I think they are both fine phones and neither would be a wrong decision. Perhaps the Droid 3 will have a longer useful life because it is dual core, but since neither is LTE not much more IMO. BTY, I just got the Inc2 this morning and have been playing it for most of the day and haven't had any downside surprises so far. Wifi to 3G handoff works fine, call quality is good, it mated easily to my Moto BT headset and my Cruze. So far, no problems.

If the D3 is anything like the X2 then I would definitely go with the Dinc2. The dual core in the X2 didn't make any difference because the ram was so low. I've been more than pleased when I dropped the X2 and with the Dinc2.

Thanks for the reply's. How is the battery life on the DInc2?

I have only had mine for 26 hours. I completely charged it when I got home yesterday, loaded my apps from the market via wifi, set up the screens and played with it for another 2 or so hours. I turned it on this morning before going out for groceries and it is now at 43%. I've kept it on wifi the entire time.

Battery is great to me.....A lot better than my ancient Krave that I had for two years until I got the DInc2 in May.....I have noticed that my battery drains slightly a bit faster since I installed Astro 3.1.0 I really like the file manager of Astro but I did'nt know that it came with a task killer....Any of you think this is the problem? Is it safe to keep it? I've had it for about 3 weeks now.

Astro is A-OK. THe task killer isn't the kind that runs in the background.

As to the OP: Dinc2. Be nuts to get the D3 if you don't want a keyb. Keyb is the only reason D3 would win in this comparo.
I do have graphic intense games on my Dinc2. Runs flawlessly.
ZERO lag on this phone. The ONLY time I see any type of lag is with some intensive Live Wallpapers. Even that is rare.
