droid inc hack question

not exactly a pro with this but is the unrevoked the only root for the dinc??? because it seems like a process unlike the Dx with the Z4root...also has anyone heard anything on the automatic gingerbread update and does that mean ones with froyo get this?

Unrevoked is the only reliable, permanent root. This device is FAR different than anything you may know about moto DX; really no way to equate them.
