Droid Gallery Option

I really need help on this one. I am new to this site and would appreciate if someone can help me. I purchased my Droid phone a few weeks ago, and just yesterday I updated my software but for some reason my Gallery Application automatically went away once the software was complete. So now when I hit the gallery button, it tells me the application is not installed but when I try searching for the same exact app. I had before, I cannot find it. I feel like an airhead, but would seriously like some feedback.

Try dragging the icon from your homescreen into the trash and bringing up a new one from the app drawer.
