Droid down!

I guess i dropped it one to many times :icon_evil:. No damage to the screen but the the phone won't turn on though the charging LED comes on. And i was just starting to enjoy The rootedness. Thank god for insurance dancedroid

dropped it too many times? i got my droid the day it was released and haven't dropped it once yet and i'm usually pretty clumsy with phones. Guess i'm more careful with this one as it seems to be quite fragile.

my curve and storm looked like they went through WWIII

Ive dropped mine about 8-10 times. Even a couple times ona treadmill and its flung off the back. Battery cover comes off and battery flies somewhere else.

Thank god mine still works! Least until the droid 2 comes out.

Because of the nature of my job, I am extremely rough on phones. It goes in and out of my pocket alot.

More times than not it does not make it to its intended location, ending up on the floor, and you know how toast always lands butter down… my droid always lands screen down.

BTW the Droid is anything but fragile, it took a hell of a beating before it finally crapped out.

Like I said before it’s taken some damage, matter of fact I would say its hit the ground well over 20 times.

I'll take pictures before I send it back.

Hum. Bubble wrap protection??? Can't you just see your little Droid wrapped in bubble wrap with a little bit of duct tape??? That could be a great new accessory. Hum. Might work.

Poor little Droid, may he rest in peace (which is better than in pieces). Good luck with the new one, hope it shows up soon!

You can see the paint scraped off around the bezel and the dent in the lower left corner (from its first high fall in Dec)

Two Things i have plenty of at my work bench . Would work great till i started popping the bubbles

I've dropped mine a couple of times. Just got a minor nick which scraped off some of the plastic. I'm wondering if a black sharpee will do the trick.

I guess I've been lucky. I've dropped mine several times and it still looks as good as new. Thank goodness these screens are tough, as I was walking out a gate with my phone in hand my heart stopped when I felt the screen dragging on the latch pretty hard. I was sure it left a deep scratch. Wiped the fingerprints off and the little guy wasn't hurt a bit.
