DROID BIONIC: Looking for a msg app that will show the unread count & has a pop up

HELP! Does anyone know of an app that will show a msg unread count ON the icon NOT in the notification bar, as well as show a pop up when you receive a msg??

Handcent should do it. it's in the settings for the icon and unread count.

When you install handcent, and you send out a pic, does it make people go to the internet to see it? I had an app that made you do that and I don't remember which one it was.

It HAS the option to do that, but I do not believe it's enabled by default. It does not force you to go to the "internet" unless you enable the large file attachment setting.
