Droid and Macs?

I have an Apple computer i tried connecting my droid X to my computer but i cant open any of the files in it....do i need to download something to access them or can i not use this phone on my computer?

Are you enabling usb mass storage on the phone? On pc's it sees it a removable drive. I know of a quite a few people with macs who hook their Droids to them, so there's gotta be something simple being missed.
