Droid 4 Root Dilemma

I rooted my phone about a year ago, was experiencing issues with my phone, so I unrooted. Now, when I try to root again, the process doesn't work. Anyone know what I can do to fix this issue? Thanks.

What version OS is your phone on?

4.0.4 (ICS) used Razrs_edge

4.1.2 (JB) uses Razr_blade

Make sure you are using the right root method.....also make sure to follow the directions on Razr_blade as there are more/different steps.

I'm unable to update my phone for some reason so I'm still stuck on Gingerbread 2.3.

Then I would just do the easy thing and fxz your phone straight to Jellybean.

Use RSDLite to flash this file
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/cdma_maserati/cdma_maserati_9.8.2O-72_VZW-18_1ff.xml.zip

then use the Razr_blade root method to root. Not only will you gain root, but you'll now be on the latest version of the OS available for your device.
