Droid 3 OTA failed

I have a pretty new (a couple of weeks) Droid 3 that received the OTA push. It's rooted and running a couple of root-required apps but I haven't done any de-bloating; if I understand correctly, I need only unroot, apply the update, and re-root. Am I missing anything?

Thanks!

You don't really need to unroot. Do the update then re-root after.
When I finally got mine to work I was rooted.

I think what he meant to say is "you need to unfreeze and unroot before uploading." Forgot to unroot your phone.

You don't need to unroot to install the update. Its completely optional, and will make no difference. Why unroot it yourself, when the update will do it for you? That's what it did to me. He said he put all bloat back on, all I was saying was he probably missed something. Idk if he froze his apps or not.

Go to Settings, About phone, System updates and it should give you the offer to update again.
