Droid 2 support

Since the droid 2 days are numbered, will it still be supported. Will gingerbread be coming?

On what planet are droid 2 days numbered? There is always going to be a market for a middle weight champion with this buikd type. People still tote the g1, ally, droid, and mytouch despite newer phones available. No longer on top doesn't mean out of the race. Watch nascar.

The Droid 2 isn't going to be a mid range phone anytime soon. It's still a top of the line phone, it sits with phones such as the evo, galaxy s series, droid x, iphone 4, etc. It won't last forever obviously. Motorola will still support the Droid 2 through firmware updates.

It is being discontinued at a few stores as we speak (best buy, wal-mart) right now to make room for the droid 2 global. And I was wondering if it still going to be supported by verizon and motorola?

Of course it is...look at the nexus one...since droid2 global is basically the same phone it will definately be getting support

I would expect support for at least a year maybe more. Of course developers will probably still be making roms and such.
