Droid 2 randomly freezes

I've had my phone for about one week. In the last couple of days it's frozen on me three times. Each time it has happened after I exit an application and return to the home screen. When I return to the homescreen, I try to touch an icon and everything is frozen up. I have to power the phone off and back on for it to work again. Can anyone offer any input, or suggestions as to why this might be happening? p.s., I do have the latest version of the software. Thanks.

If you are running a task killer or antivrus delete them. If that's not the issue do a factory data reset from your privacy section in your settings. That should fix it.

I'm not running a task killer or antivirus. If I do a factory data reset, will I have to reinstall all my apps, set up my gmail and facebook accounts again, etc? Thanks.
