Droid 2 Global- Text Messages Not Received

I am having an issue receiving text Sms messages on my Droid 2 Global. I have noticed that when I take the battery off of the phone and replace it, all of my messages will come in at once. This works sometimes but not always.

I have downloaded the ghostly sms application to try to help with this, but I am still not receiving messages.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I can do?
