Can I tether with the Droid 1 w/2.2 stock? If so, does Verizon charge for this service beyond unlimited data usage?

I had no problems at all with PDAnet, but by the time I got Android 2.2, I had already rooted, so I was using WIFI Tether.

Some of them allow bluetooth PAN tethdering, if you can get it set up.

I installed PDANet and am now connected to my computer with Windows 7. What kind of speeds should I expect? On one check I had 1.1mbps down and .6mbps up. Is that normal? It seems to work OK. I have just installed it and not used it much. Thanks for the info, WolfpackRon.

I just figured out that PDANet does not make my phone a hotspot, but must be connected to the usb port to work. Is that true? How do I make my Droid 1 a hotspot? Thanks in advance, WolfpackRon.
