Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I have not been able to download apps or sign into google talk when on WIFI at my home. I do have a firewall running, but I have opened port 5222 which is what google talk runs on, but I am still unable to download apps or sign into google talk. Any suggestions? Any other ports besides 5222 and 443 that should be open to allow me to sign into google talk and/or download apps while on wifi?
Default setting on almost any router should allow you to connect outward to most places.
Can you see items in the market?
Do you get an error message?
Does it work if you disable your firewall or allow all traffic in and out? (no narrow down the issue being a router port/security issue.
You should try using a different wireless LAN/hotspot to see if you can download apps, so that you can narrow down if its a router issue or a phone issue.
