Downloaded, Built, and Installed ICS from Source...

So, I went through the process of downloading the Android source, building it, installing superuser and gapps, etc. and installed it on my device.

I am now curious, what is the next logical step in creating a customized ROM?

Thanks!

adding in your won individual code to create different features in the base before building it again... decompiling system apps to make them run better/fast/add features etc...

if you know how to code, the possibilities are pretty much endless or at least as far as your imagination can take you...

a lot of the extra features you see in ROM's are that creators' extra coding they built into the ROM to give that extra functionality.

what is your experience with coding specifically Java? I think Java is used quite a bit...

I have experience with both java and c++ which I saw quite a bit of both file types during the build.

I'll have to start screwing around with stuff!
