download manager infected

my android download manager is infected by malware. i can't disable it either. what should i do. there's some serious ads popping up everytime and it really pissing me off. can't play games peacefully! need a solution

Can you tell us what device & what version of Android you have? What were you doing going when this happened?

Have you tried downloading and running an antivirus or malware scanner? Two recommended ones are Malwarebytes and AVG. Kaspersky is a good one for PCs, but not sure about their mobile app.

Give those a shot and see if it helps or if it could result in anything.

thanks for the re, i did install avg but not malwarebytes though. i scan and still the same result, no virus detected. btw, is factory resetting an option, idk if it really helps.

Factory reset will get rid of any virus or malware on your phone but thatd be my last resort since it erases everything.

sure, lenovo a850+ android v4.2.2.
i think its becuz i download game apks from other websites. it did warn that the file may content viruses but i ignored. ahha
