A few days ago the ota upgrade to Kit Kat 4.4.2 for the Droid RAZR HD was leaked. The link to the firmware was posted to xda on May 10th. There are no install directions to go with the link at all. Normally with firmware leaks you will need to return your device to 100% stock. This means that if you are rooted and have removed bloat ware you will need to restore your bloatware apps. If you have modified any system apks or if you have modified the stock rom in any way you will need to revert any changes to stock. You must be running the stock recovery. You will not be able to install the leaked firmware with safestrap or any other custom recovery. It should also be noted that this build is for the Verizon variant only. What can we look forward to? Are you seeing better performance in general or specific areas? Did they ditch the settings screen to the left of home in favor of a right side drag down from the top? Can you view 16x9 photos full screen with immersive mode using the gallery app? Can I use immersive mode for web browsing or book reading with Google Books or Kindle? Does immersive mode work with any app?
