downgrade from OTA 2.2 to 2.1

My DX was everything I imagined it would be and more until I did the froyo update OTA. Now alot of my apps freeze, lag, or skip, the battery life sucks, and the phone runs hot. I've used the search feature on here but I have only found guides for the other devices.

Is there any way I can return to 2.1? any way at all? Please help!

No way at this time to go back to 2.1 after the ota. Why not root and try a custom rom for the time being? Hmmm on second thought you could try getting verizon to swap out your phone ...

Typed with Swype on my Droid X and sent with Tapatalk.

i feel the same way aswell, i dont root/jailbreak/whatever my phone, i have a hand full of apps(all rated very good- stayed away from the shady ones) and my phone works like **** now, alittle disappointing actually... i really hope they are looking into this..

hold home while powering on and wipe data and cache.

start over with Froyo. this should help. and maybe download one app at a time to see if its any of the apps conflicting.

and if you have a task killer, delete it.
