Hi everyone, just signed up hoping to get some answers.

I have the razor maxx, and after upgrading to ics when I call someone or I get a call from someone they can't hear me. I also noticed a couple new contacts are missing now.

Hello and welcome to the droid forums Bradp....are you a paisley fan? I ask because of the name this is gonna sound stupid but try inserting and removing a 3.5 mm plug in the headphone jack.. do it a couple of times.. see what happens.


Also, hold volume down and power until the phone shuts off.. this should get you talking again it may do a screen shot while doing this... no big deal, just keep holding it down.

Thanks for the reply 94lt1.I tried both and neither one worked. If I hold the mic to my mouth and talk loud people can barely hear me and they say it has a lot of static. Also found out if I put it on speaker phone they can hear me. I don't use the phone for talking much so I don't know when it started to do this, if it's a phone problem or because of the upgrade to ics.

Sorry don't know what you mean by paisley fan? My screen name is not very creative just my first name with last name initial and birthday, something i used on a off road forum years ago and use it on all forums now.

If this doesn't work, then do two factory data resets, one right behind the other....that will definitely fix you up.

Ha Brad Paisley was the first thing I thought of when I read that but i didn't want sound stupid if it was something totally different:biggrin:

I saw the clearing cache thread and the factory data resets, just wasn't sure about what is lost (contacts, pics and apps).

Use backup assistant to keep your contacts, as far as your pics and other stuff. Go into my files, internal storage. Now anything in here that you want on your SD card, probably quite a bit, open the file, tap options, select multiple, select all, move. Now tap at the top of the screen and select home, the. Sdcard, now select the folder you want to put the stuff in. Tap move again..

There are free file managers on the play store that will do this quicker and are free as well.

I just do it manually..like this^^^

After you move everything... you're good to go....

Also, for clearing the cache... you won't lose data.

When my contract expired, I ran to the nearest Verizon (actually got the phone from Amazon but used Verizon as my carrier) and got my Razr.
