Doid X no download

Win i try to download a file of the web it starts to download and then it stops and says not compatible with this device. I have checked all my settings and haven't found any fix. Anyone know how to fix this

Like it is telling you, there is not a program on your phone that can open the file. Install one and you're good to go.

okay so it wouldnt download because there is not a file manager on the phone to read it if it was downloaded so somthing like astro. Because of this x i have not rooted it yet. Thanks ill try that
