i found a great improvement in battery life when i turned all those off. could possibly just be my phone that's causing some problems then. i've heard people keeping all those connections on and spending days without a charge. i should probably look more into it then

Anyone with a droid X needs to keep GPS off when not in use until they fix the bug

Turning off the active GPS nearly doubled my battery life. I left the passive and assisted GPS on and can get through full full day no prob now.
