Distortion during bluetooth calls in the car?

I get a lot of distortion during calls made or received in my car with the droid pro. I tried rolling back the software via the available SBF, but that didnt fix it.

My car is a 2004. Is it possible the phone isnt the culprit and I need to upgrade the Hands Free Link in the car?

Any ideas?

when i got my new car head unit, with bluetooth, i noticed odd distortion about 90 seconds into every phone call that lasted for 30 seconds. i chalked it up to the head unit. this was with my old palm pre plus.

then, i got a droid pro, and the problem has gone away.

so no, i don't share this problem...but i offer that it may be a combination of both your phone and the head unit.

My wife has a 2009 Rogue and it has Bluetooth. Very noisy on her Pro and it was also with her Tour, so I'm going to chalk it up to the HU too.

Im looking into upgrading the vehicle's bluetooth, but dont know for sure if it would solve the problem.
