Disable Voice Commands

Is there a way to disable the voice commands? I have a MOT Droid 2, and if I bump buttons at the bottom it goes into voice command mode, this takes about 15 seconds, and is a pain to wait for it.

Or, is there a way to just reprogram the buttons so that Voice Commands is not one of them?

You could try un-installing Voice search, or "freezing" it with titanium backup ???
