Disable Pedometer?

Does anyone know how to disable the pedometer or at least the notifications from it? I used it once to try it out and now I get notifications about every time I walk reminding me that I haven't used it in a while. I don't want to use it at all but can't find a way to stop the notifications anywhere. Any ideas?

See if there is a notification setting in S health or force close S health and see if that helps

I tried that but for some reason everything is grayed out on that screen and I can't even push the on button. The boxes are checked but it is set to off so I can't uncheck the boxes. Can't figure out what would cause this.

Ok....it is gray and blocked because the pedometer is disabled....press the "pedometer" icon on the bottom left.....then press the three dots in the top right.....select "start pedometer". You should be able to go into settings....notifications....and turn off the inactive alerts.

I like the pedometer feature, not so much the heart rate monitor, but also hated those notifications. I'd be sitting at work and a couple of hours later the app was telling me to take a walk....grrr.
