DInc vs D2

I can't decide between these 2 phones, Physical Keyboard isn't an issue, but I'm wondering about the Longevity of life left in the DInc, I've seen posts on here that say VZW is discontinuing it, then posts that dispute that. But other than that, is there any major difference between the 2 other than Keyboard?

I'm mostly a Facebook, Twitter, Text fiend. But as I said, I can type just as fast on Physical as Touch, plus Swype looks very interesting.

they are not discontinuing the dinc. there will be 3 flavors of hardware. large, normal and keyboard. All the devices are very similar except the form factor.

i doubt they will discontinue it because it's so high in demand. only reason they would stop selling if they make a droid incredible 2 which happened to the original droid. Dinc has 8mp cam vs. D2 has 5mp. Also, Dinc is getting 720p which is also superior compared to D2. All in all Droid Incredible is a better phone but much credit for the D2 it's a good phone who are new to Android and also don't want super super high tech phone. Google's answer to being open and choice.

Thanks, Pictures and Video aren't a big deal for me as I hardly use that feature. I'm looking for an Android so I can hook up with my Social networks, and have a badass looking phone.

It's a huge conundrum.

DInc is rooted and isn't in VZ stores
DX is rooted and isn't out yet
D2 isn't rooted but IS out yet.

(I don't order from online, only in store)

I have the Dinc and my wife has the 2 (for now). I got everyone on my office the 2s because they were in stock and there was only one Dinc. I'm a recovering iPhone user so the Dinc feels more at home to me. I really like the UI much more on the Dinc. I am still in the 30 day trial period on all our phones (2 employees also on plan both with 2s). The signal isn't much worse than the 2. There are times where my phone will have more bars, but most of the time less. If I place a call, the signal usually jumps up a bar or 2. The battery life is less than desirable, but hopefully froyo will take care of that. If I do keep the phone, I'll get a larger battery either way. So far so good! Come on froyo!

Well, you're comparing 2.1 and 2.2 firmwares. I honestly just like the look of the Sense UI over the Moto. I haven't used the 2 enough to really compare speed. Really more just poking around setting the phone up for my wife and employees. I'm not 100% sure at this point what is related to Sense and what's related the 2.2. I'm hoping my 2.2 comes soon so I'll be able to compare the UIs a little more equally.

Also, my wife has yet to use the slider keyboard. I'm getting used to actually using the optical joystick on the Dinc. Selecting things on the Droid aren't quite as good as the iphone by touch but you can easily select what you want with the joystick if you mis-tap. Form-factor wise, there's no contest between the 2 and Dinc.
