Dialer tones?

My X does not make tone sounds anymore. I tried everything to make it work again but no tones. Verizon and Motorola have no idea. Does anyone else hear the tones?

You need to turn your volume all the way, and or partially up then go into settings, sounds, then Dialer Tones, check the box.

Don't have that setting on my DroidX

Be at your home screen, hit the Menu key, Settings, Sound, tap "Audible Touch Tones"

Step by step, it will work. (Just did it on my X)

I know about this, and my X still does not make a tone that I can hear unless I hold the speaker to my ear. My phone used to make loud tones but since I did a factory reset, the tones are gone.

So, in case some one else has this issue....what did you do to "fix" it?

I got "quick settings" in the market and set all the volumes to the highest settings and it gave me back the touch tones on the dialer. Then i uninstalled it and everthing is back to normal.
