Dialer and "Verizon Wireless"

I had trouble finding anything through search. Is there a way to remove the annoying "Verizon Wireless" announcement every time I open the dialer or attempt to call a contact?

Man, that is annoying. I KNOW I have Verizon Wireless, I pay them monthly.

I wasn't planning on rooting the phone, but if that gets rid of the annoying announcement, I will reconsider.

I don't have that problem.

Download "Dialer One" from the market. It's much better than the stock dialer anyways...IMO

If I remember correctly:

Settings > Sound & Display > Roaming Tone (turn it off by unchecking it)

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try that dialer too. The stock one isn't that good anyway.
