Detached LCD/ How to factory reset before sending in to insurance company

I dropped my phone and the LCD detached, breaking the wire ribbon. I am rooted and use RomManager. My question is can I do a backup and unrooted nandroid restore via Terminal/Command Prompt before I send it in to the insurance company?

I'm just gonna guess that they're not gonna care whether its rooted or not since they wont be able to tell lol.

I figured as much, but was just going the better safe than sorry route. I am sending it in tomorrow whether I get it unrooted or not. I got 24 hrs so I thought I would give it a shot.

I am more interested in doing a full backup than the unrooted nandroid restore.
