Deleting .apk's out of D/L folder (noob ?)

Do I need to keep these or can I back them up on pc and delete off of sd card??

unless you put them there, and want to keep them there in case youre going to install again at a later date, then you can just delete them

Ok--so another question...when I reinstall a ROM after doing a complete wipe, where do the auto start's come from? (new to all this so bear with me )

what do you mean by auto starts?

auto re-install of apps...

apps that you downloaded through the market are stored on your google account. Thats how they get reinstalled. Other apps that you installed out of market you need to reinstall the apk.
