delete "resident" apps

How can I delete apps I never use, such as Verizon Video? It's a pita to have to update them when they require wifi to do so.

You cannot delete them unless you root your phone. But, you do not "have" to update them, I personally just ignore any updates to the scrap I don't use.

You can also hide them by holding the icon then select HIDE.
