Delete multiple texts (not all) RAZR Maxx

Since the ics upgrade I can no longer select multiple when deleting texts, it's either one at a time or entire thread. I've been searching forums for awhile now and can't find anything. Help?! Thanks.

There is no option that says "select multiple" go to the main text message screen. Press and hold a person you want to delete and it will turn blue. You can the select as many as you like, all turning blue after pressing on them. Then press the garbage can. It will then ask if you want any protected messages deleted. Click yes or no. Done

Sorry. I just reread your question. This is for whole threads. Not individual texts within the thread. My bad.
