Default Names and Pictures?

I've got my contacts all linked to facebook, but now it forces the Facebook Names and pictures for all contacts. I'd like to set my own picture of my girlfriend, for example, and have her name listed by her nickname, Kitty, when I view it in txt messages and other things on my phone. Unfourtunatly i can't figure out how to stop it from forcing the Facebook picture and names as the default display. You'd think that under nicknames when you set it to 'Default' it would do this but it doesn't. I've googled this and found a couple threads asking how to fix, but no solutions.

I have the same problem. I would like to be able to put my parents under "Mom" and "Dad" instead of their real names as listed on Facebook. For some reason it worked out with my boyfriend using his nickname "Lover Boy" instead of his real name but my parents can't be renamed. Very frustrating!

Does nobody have a solution?
