dark screen

recently i installed an app called,"fingerprint screensaver" on my droid 2 global. as soon as i set it as my home screen, it went dark. i can't get my phone to work at all. on the lock screen it seems to work fine but as soon as i unlock it it's black again. i can slide down the tasks bar but nothing else. i tried taking out the battery, putting in a whole new micro sd card, and tried to reset it but nothing will work. any suggestions?

Take the back off, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, put the battery back in, power it up and see what happens.

If that doesn't work then pull the battery and put it back in. Slide open the keyboard and press and hold the x key while powering on your device. When you see a little android with the "!" symbol on him, press the search key on the keyboard. Then preform a data/cache factory reset and your phone will be reset to stock.
