Previously we shared some news about the Tegra Zone game "Dark Meadow: The Pact," because it showcases some advanced graphics techniques that are exclusive to the Tegra 3 chip from NVIDIA. Today, they shared a comparison pic to show off some more differences between non-Tegra 3 devices and Tegra 3 devices. They also shared that the game is officially released. Above is a comparison shot and below we have the full press release. This game was made using the Unreal Engine 3 technology and looks to be one of the most impressive looking mobile games around. Here's a link below to try out the game!

DARK MEADOW: THE PACT – LIVE THE NIGHTMARE ON NVIDIA TEGRA 3

Dark Meadow: The Pact

Ever had one of those nightmares from which you couldn’t wake up? You twist and turn through narrow halls facing unimaginable horrors, hoping only to wake up from this terrifying phantasm. Only this is no nightmare, it’s all too real. That’s how it goes in the latest Tegra 3 gaming title, Dark Meadow.

You wake up to find yourself trapped in an abandoned hospital, with no memory of who you are or why you are there. Your only friend is a broken-down old man who’s been stuck there way longer than you, and according to him, the only way to escape is to vanquish the beautiful witch. But finding the weapons and the means to defeat her will be no walk in the park. You’ll soon find that the decrepit halls of old Montclair Hospital are crawling with ghoulish creatures hell-bent on destroying you. It’s up to you to explore these life-like environments, solve the mystery of your identity and get out alive!

To battle the witch’s minions, you’ll have to rely on touch gestures. For long-range combat, you’re armed with a cross bow, which you fire using a “pull-back” swipe gesture. Your trusty sword is at your hip, ready to deal death to enemies with a quick “slash” gesture. The gesture controls add a level of realism that immerses you in a world full of nightmarish scenarios.

Dark Meadow on Tegra 3 helps redefine the mobile gaming space. Utilizing NVIDIA’s 4-PLUS-1 quad-core technology, the Tegra 3-optimized version of the game featured detailed enhancements such as higher polygon count, animated textures, water effects and dynamic particle effects. Only Tegra 3 allowed Phosphor games to bring this game to life in the way they dreamed.

I think the difference is simply more details. The Tegra 3 can render more polygons, thus it can add more detail to a scene for added atmosphere and realism.

Oh, guess it's hard to tell, since the picture they provided isn't all that large.

it's a scam, they just want you to feel exclusive for owning a tegra 3 product. some extra ivy would not tax the cpu/gpu THAT much more...
