d2 having troubles staying connected to pc

I connect the d2 to read my sd card and it keeps connecting then disconnecting over and over. No matter what i set it to.

first suggestion: Make sure you have the up to date drivers, go to motorola website to get them: USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola, Inc. USA


suggestion 2: try it on another computer, if it works then your computer usb port is bad, if it fails on both maybe try another micro usb cord.
