D1 without Verizon Service - Question

I recently upgraded from a D1 to DX. I would like to do a hard reset on my D1 and set it up with a different Google account to use for playing games, etc. Will I have problems using a different account since the phone no longer will register with Verizon?

This should work fine. All the apps will stay with the google account on your dx though. Obviously you will only have wifi though.

I've been thinking the same thing. Turn my current droid1 into an ipod touch wannabe or give to the girlfriend.
