The Honor 5X is still one of the best deals out there when it comes to budget smartphones. The only issue I ever had with this phone is the way that EMUI handles performance and multitasking in the stock software. You have to actually go into settings and disable the aggressive power saver mode just so your phone doesn't lag. If you want to multitask you have to go into settings and set trusted apps otherwise apps close completely and have to be relaunched when you exit them.
One easy way to fix this and make the Honor 5X a super speedy budget phone is to install CyanogenMod 13. Nightly builds are now available for the Honor 5X. Nightly builds are also now available for the Asus ZenPad 8.0. Head to the link below to grab nightly builds!
