Cyanogen 7 nitlies? Plz help

want to try out the nightly thing but im new to all this, where can i find easy to understand instructions on doing the nightly thing, and still dont know why or what the kernels do so dont know if i need it. someone please help me out, thanks a ton in advance.

Nightly is just as it sounds, nightly developments to RC's. You can flash them but they ate not always stable. Kernels can be flashed to tweak the way the phone operates. Sine overclock some undervolt some charge fast andvsime drain fast. To each there own.
