Custom ROM that fixes WPA Phase 2 Authentication Issue?

Do any of the custom ROMs fix the WiFi issue with 2.2 when trying to connect to a WPA protected network with PEAP and MSVCHAPv2 as Phase 2 Authentication? Its fixed in the Cyanogen Nightly source, I had the Original Droid and the problem was fixed, but now I have the X and the problem is back...

I dont mind the Blur, I really liked Cyanogen, but that probably will never be ported to the X. Is there a possibility that the problem can be fixed by accessing /system with these custom ROMs?
