Curious Bionic Phenomenon

For the past week and a half, whenever I get off the phone using my Bionic, it goes into car dock mode. I can be in the house, at work, in a park, anywhere and this happens. Have any of you run across this strange happening and if so, how do I stop it so the device simply returns to my home page upon completion of a phone call. Thanks for advice on this one.

Nope, just in my hand and to the best of my knowledge, it's not magnetic.

No magnetic dock activation in the Bionic (I wish it was, my OG Droid was much better in this respect). Have you rebooted the phone?

Ahh, the Android cure all. Just pulled the battery and put it back in. Bionic is powering up and I'll make a call shortly to see how it fares.

Damn, that didn't get it either. The dreaded Important Information for Responsible Driving came up again. I'm gonna keep searching.

Perhaps an app like On Call End might force it to go back to what it was before the call.

I have the same issue except that whenever I hang up it goes to the mobile network select page. I'm sure a factory reset would cure it but its not worth it to me so I just deal with it.

A couple of obvious questions...

1) Are you stock or rooted?
2) Did you add or change anything around that time? Maybe add an app or get an update?

My thoughts exactly regarding the factory reset. Much more time and hassle getting the device back to where I have it now, rather than the one click to get past that screen. :happy3:

Completely stock and have been running Go Launcher Ex for a few months. I did add a local weather app recently, so I'll delete it and see if that might be the cause. Could possibly be remnants of the 905 update, though I would think more people would have had this happen.

Edit: just deleted weather app and made a call, to no avail.

download On end call and choose do nothing and see what happens.

Funny. You wouldn't think that an app would be needed to control an action that had never occurred before just recently.

Do you have some car setting app that automatically puts it in car dock mode after a call?
