Could mot be right, could it really be vzw locking down phones?

Not surprised. Since I wasn't considering getting one, and also since I don't flash roms anymore (since the D2), I don't really care, but it's a bummer for those that do.

Yeah I hear you and lets be honest majority of users dont. But moto took a lot of heat, even from me, about locking the bootloaders. When moto pointed to vzw many of us were quick to hold up the tbolt and other devices to say "see these are unlocked". Vzw gave us an unlocked device in the nexus and the fulfilled their 1 but it would be interesting to see if that becomes there m.o. If so how would this effect customers.

^ To answer my above question it will only effect those that care just like people have chosed devices like the razr maxx over the nexus because the reality is most customers care about some thing more than others. Is this an issue...honestly I think it will not effect sells being users choosing the gs3 over the nexus is doing so because they want features over roms. Still moto may be getting off the hook.

I'm not too worried. I was planning to stay stock for awhile anyway. The awesome dev community will find a way around this.
