Corporate Sync deleted, phone still asks for PIN.

Recently i recieved a Blackberry from my company for work emails. before that i was accessing my company mail from my Droid 2. once the corporate phone was up and running i deleted my sync, as i had done one time months ago, expecting that the location and security screen would now have the "none" option available. however even after a several hard starts the phone still asks for a pin and won't allow me to select "none" (disabled by remote...).

please help i hate the pin and find it intolerable now that i dont even need it for the corp sync anymore.
Could it have anything to do with an app called admin notifier that I can't stop or delete?
