Contacts

Is there a way to clear all contacts on the Droid. I have too many duplicates and I would like to start over by using BackUpAssistant.

Do you have more than one gmail acct. On the phone? If you do, check settings-accounts and go into each account and uncheck sync contacts in all but the account that contains most of your contacts... I tend to get duplicates when I sync from multiple email accounts

No, only one account.

Login to gmail on pc and invoke the built in duplicate finder, let it run, then tidy it more as you see fit.
