Contacts sync with facebook and gmail question

So I just synced my facebook contacts to my phone and I really like how I can get the facebook picture and info right there. The problem I am having is I can't add a phone number to some of them. Also somehave 2 contacts, one for gmail and one for facebook. I was wondering if anyone knew if you could merge the two or update them so I don't have to have 2 of the same contact information.

Click on the contact, press menu> edit contact> menu> join
Google will try to pick the correct contact, and list them at the top of the page. You can always pick "Show all contacts" and pick the correct one that way. Show all is convenient is you have someone listed with a nick name, and not the name that use on Facebook.
If you make a mistake, Click on the contact, press menu> edit contact> menu> separate. The combined contacts will split back into the original contacts.
