Contacts stuck on opening to History.

When tapping Contacts, it opens with "Contacts: History" on the top line, with the left most red dot highlighted. Below that was "Contacts: All Contacts", with the green + sign to search. I cleared the History, so now nothing shows upon first opening Contacts.

It used to open to the complete listing for scrolling, or searching, not just History.

How do I put it back the way it was? And what are those red dots for?

frustrating, but fixable

I found the answer shortly after finding your unanswered post: if you are viewing your contacts and scroll left, you wind up in History. You need to scroll right to get back to the regular list (go one too far and you'll be in "Status").
