Contacts merging by themselves and phone shut off by itself

Hi everyone my droid has been acting strange since last night it merged to contacts into one twice last night and today a few minutes ago. These contacts have nothing in common ie; names this happend when im texting. And then last night my phone cut itself off the contacts went back to normal each time after a battery pull any suggestions would be appreciated thanks in advance

Ps my droid is less than a month old and everything I installed is from the market not rooted or anything like that. Should I just reset the phone or take it back to vzw and have them look at it?

Do a factory data reset out of your privacy section. If you still have issues after that then take it back.

Thanks I will do that right now and to top it all off my phone case broke as well today isn't my day
