Contact's birthdays not visible on droid

I recently changed my contacts from backup assistant to google. My contacts birthdays show up on my calendar online when I go to google.com/calendars. However, they are not showing up in my calendar app on the phone. I double checked and contact's birthdays definitely says synced and visible. Any thoughts on why it would not be pulling them in?

I'm in the exact same boat. Birthdays in Outlook sync with my google calender online, and they do show up on the contacts record on my phone, but they do not show up on my phone's calendar.
