Contact 'Scrollbar' feature

Since 2.2 update, contacts within widgets can be selected. doing so presents a scrollbar of options - call, sms, email, etc. This is true of 3rd party app widgets and even Moto widgets.


How do you duplicate that functionality on the home screen? 'Contact Shortcuts' should, but does not.
