Contact name mysteriously changed on old text messages

When I first looked at my phone this morning I opened up my saved text messages. My husband's name was on a thread that did not belong to him. I was trying to figure out if he had changed it as a joke. But I have my phone passworded - there is no way he'd be able to crack it. As I was looking at my phone, trying to figure out what was going on, an incoming text came from my husband. It had his name on it in the preview (at the very top), but when I opened it, it had my friend Stacey's name on it. But it was of a thread between my husband and me. The next incoming text had no glitches whatsoever.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Probably has to do with the text messaging bug. It's fixed in Android 2.2.2 ... I'm sure the Droid 2 will get that update soon. Droid 1 just got it.

Anyone know if there is any update on this problem? I am having the same issue with my droid 2 and its freaking me out a little.
