Contact errors

When trying to delete or add phone numbers to existing contacts, the numbers don't always show up in the editing panel. They'll be there when I'm looking at the contact info, but when I go into edit it's as if there are no phone numbers for that entry. What's odd is that it's not happening for all contacts. Any ideas?

I don't think they are...unless the Droid is automatically trying to combine my facebook information with regular/google contacts (?).

If you think that's the case, could you point me to a thread explaining what to do? thanks!
