I have been having a problem lately where it is always switching between 4G, 3G, and 1X then showing not connected to anything. Then just says no SIM card installed and you have to Hard Reset it to get it to come back on and work. This happens pretty much every place. Inside/outside. It doesnt matter. Ive even missed phone calls because of this. Super annoying to have a phone that doesnt even work. And of course it never happens when I take it into a VZ store so they wont do anything. Tried to get them to give me a new SIM card but they wont. Anyone else have the problem or have any suggestions to try?

Heres a screen cap from earlier today.

I would try calling vz because I have had better luck with the reps than ppl in the store. The store ppl need to see it and the reps really can't see it they can only go off what you say.

Sounds like a bad SIM card to me. Agreed, you should try to get Verizon to replace it. Not sure why they gave you a hard time about it. I'd avoid that store.

You could try taking it out and cleaning the contacts, gently, or even look at the sim slot to see if there is any foreign material there.

Well tried that. That just pissed me off more. Dial *611, takes me to on screen app. Click call CS, it takes me out then right back in. Mother******s....... I ****ing hate Verizion some times, no one else is any better but worth a shot for a few years maybe.

Our stores suck. I have no idea why they wont just replace it.

Did that. Tonight I was wondering why I wasnt getting any texts for like two hours. Check my phone. "No SIM installed" Hard Reset still nothing. Power it down. Take the SIM out blow it all out put it back in. Power it back up. Same issue. Power it off and back on. Now it works.

This is so frustrating. This is my only phone, and I own a business and work for another place and need connection 24/7(or as close to that as possible). I cant be having random down time like this. Ive often thought about an iPhone, but I dont know if they are any better. Just give me a phone that will work for two years, have a day battery life(with heavy use), not bog down, have decent 4g speeds most of the time and Ill buy it and probably pay full retail for it. OMG.

Finally got through to them. There is a setting to shut off opening the on screen app. Thank god. I was about ready to drop them.

Just like I thought it sounds like a SIM card. Will be getting a new one tomorrow night.
